"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think I picked a good day to reschedule my Big Bear vacation plans.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Years ago I was told that chicken soup has some actual phyaixL effectiveness because heat and liquid fat helps respitory(sp) systems. I'm sure the psychosamtic (sp) effects are important too

Same reason beef broth helps or beef Pho.

hot fatty liquid = temporary symptom relief.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This manhunt shit is beyond my comprehension. Me and a colleague got approval to take a project management class, and he was trying to convince me to go to the same classes as him, but I refused, since what's close to him is far from me.

Which means I didn't spend the end of last week in Torrance. About which I need to rib him, near endlessly.

But, seriously--the police response is chilling. I mean--Dorner is chilling too, but the police are not helping me feel like there's a safe resolution in the works.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Had a fairly quiet day today. Walked around the local shopping district then hung out with my mom and prepped for my job interview. My first Skype interview. I think it went well, aside from the weirdness of hearing an echo of everything I said. Nothing better than making one feel like they are uttering nothing but fatuous cliches than hearing your own voice on a delay. They are making noises about having me I next week, so that's a good sign!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

But, seriously--the police response is chilling. I mean--Dorner is chilling too, but the police are not helping me feel like there's a safe resolution in the works.

I am with you there. I understand they're terrified, but stop shooting at everything that moves!

Glad the interview went well, Scrappy. I'd imagine anyone would be happy to have you on board.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

This means there's a new apocalyptic prophecy now that 2012 is over with.

I can only hope whoever the college of cardinals elects is cheeky enough to actually take the name Petrus Romanus.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Pix and Maria!

Excellent, Scrappy! Are you applying for another job in HR? How's family? How's foreign?

I understand they're terrified, but stop shooting at everything that moves!

It's not like the LA police are the most confidence-inspiring people with guns to start with, and whoa. Now that they are taking it personally, it feels like they're not here to protect us--they're here so they could get guns and leeway to protect them.

I randomly stopped on Paul Williams Still Alive and I can't look away, because this is the most fatuous, neurotic, self-involved documentary I've ever seen. Apparently you need to buy into the myth of Stephen Kessler first. The information about Paul Williams is pretty scant. Why would I want to see the film maker's feet in front of the film maker's TV in the film maker's hotel room while Paul Williams is...I have no idea where he is...?
