I mean, in Detroit you clearly have 9-5 and general shift traffic, but in LA, people are apparently both out and in all the time. No particularly useful rhythm.

Lots of unemployed people. Also, stay-at-home moms and people in sales, who are sometimes out for the day seeing clients rather than in an office. There are a lot of those.
