I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Happy Mardi Gras! I am eating a banana pecan muffin.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

FWIW, I know people who've gotten acupuncture on their horses, and swear by the results. Totally anecdotal of course, but enough to make me go 'Huh.'

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

My sister got acupuncture on/for her St. Bernard. Not sure it made any difference, frankly. There's no real way that needles & nerve endings can stop aging.

hip deep in pie

So I intended to get pancakes when I left the house and ended up with Pad Thai. That's close, right?

And who are all these people in the mall on a Tuesday afternoon??

Ann, that's a ferret.

Our cat Teddy loved acupuncture. Made him melt into a relaxed puddle of tuxie. I think it may have slowed the kidney failure down a bit, but I can't say for sure.

Marie tolerates it, but she's still around more than 2 years after losing the feeding tube. Whether it's the meds, the herbal med, the acupuncture, or all 3, I can't say.

What I can say is, it doesn't hurt.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And who are all these people in the mall on a Tuesday afternoon??

I always wonder that, when I'm out and about on a workday.

Because books.

My Pink Lady is delicious! It tastes very vaguely like grapefruit.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Apparently I have one-click payment turned on for Amazon. This was a surprise. And a bit unwelcome.

Swouncing

Skipping, first, to apologize - between internet-connection coming-and-going as it pleases, the crazy that is always the end of the semester and exam season, all interwoven with PiToddler having a fever for almost a week (third pneumonia this winter, after just starting to recover from EBV - so much fun and joy is being spread throughout the first year of going to daycare, at least that's the way to develop a properly-working immune system, or so I keep telling myself, but goodness, it's way too meMeME and I totally digress).

Anyway, between all of the above, I didn't get near a computer for anythig but the most urgent work stuff (or the most urgently-needed apologies for being so terribly late with work stuff), and therefore missed several Buffista birthdays, so first I would like to apologize to SuziQ (whose birthday was on the 9th) and -t (whose birthday was yesterday, on the 11th), hope they had wonderful days ever since, and wish them a great year regardless!

Second, at least today is a double Buffista birthday, of both Pix as well as MFNlaw, so I get to wish on time a lovely day and a wonderful year to two great ladies - lots of good wishes to them!

And, just in case I can't get near a computer any time soon yet again, I'll already post early wishes to Connie neil, whose birthday will be tomorrow, on the 13th.

And with that, *poof*, I'm back to grading, no matter how much I miss posting with y'all.
