Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now waiting for the numb to wear off such that my lips work.

One time I had small fillings on the top and bottom of the same side of my mouth. And then I tried to smoke a cigarette. It was comical, I must say.

I have also been to the dentist! But just for a cleaning. The hygenist did not stop yakking, which was kind of entertaining. And then she told me to get a consult with an orthodonist, which the receptionist basically told me to blow off, which I also appreciated!

JZ, I could totally see me writing fic for your book series. Just so you know.

It would be hilarious to see fic before the actual work. (Although I bet that happens with movie trailers, huh?)

Indeed it does! Although not so very often, and usually for a trailer for a movie in a franchise.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Just got home. Normally my commute by car takes about 40 minutes. Today it took an hour and 20 minutes, mostly because I spent 40 minutes stuck behind a Prius that was going 10-15 mph. The road was snow-covered but there was no reason to go that slow.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That was sweet of your mom, sarameg. And at least you lost a filling when you already had to see the dentist. (Wee, tiny yay for the second one?)

JZ, I would read the heck out of that book/series.

Cash, congrats to Mr. Cash on the new job. But, transition~ma. 'Cause, yeah, stressfull.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I'm in the SLC airport, and the flight arriving from Chicago is delayed, which means the flight that immediately turns around and goes back is delayed.

Of course, my flight to New Orleans is also delayed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Now waiting for the numb to wear off such that my lips work.

I had a filling once right by the gum line in the front. The novocaine numbed not just my lip but my nostils. It was the bizarrest thing because I couldn't feel myself breathing so I kept freaking out that I wasn't.

Chicago is pretty much whiteout right now, at least downtown.

Hah! I'm sure it's awful if it's happening to you, but that's hilarious.

I really need to do work. And am really not doing it. I have a thing that is already a couple days overdue, that I need to complete, but don't wanna. And another thing that is due next week, but I know I'll be super busy next week, and need to do it tomorrow. But lately I have just been SO SLEEPY.

brillig

But it's a lovely day in Salt Lake, at least. Supposed to snow tomorrow, though.

Bah, I now feel icky after giving blood. But I suspect it has more to do with eating too many of the cookies afterward.

I want to go home but I really have to finish revising this scope of work. Arrrgh.
