Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

One of the sons on Parenthood is autistic, and it's often dealt with.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Parenthood. That's the show I don't watch that I was trying to remember. Part of the importance of Abed to the person touched was that he didn't have a very special episode (up until late last season), and they do seem to have given up on him in Harmon's upcoming absence, which...why not wait around and see first? The man's ridiculously talented and innovative, but it could still be a good show.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

My boss just informed me that he's adding "Beetlejuice" to my name in our bug-tracking database. I win? I'm not even wearing a stripey blazer today.

God, I'm so revolted.

You know the story of the Feminist Frequency Kickstarter project, and how she's been so badly trolled by 4chan? Well, I know her a bit (she's a friend of Laura Shapiro's, and we all went to see The Avengers together), and it's been really horrifying to see what people are saying about her.

Of course, it's horrifying because I'm reading the comments. ARGH. So many straw feminists, so many brains locked in the 16th century, so many anti-semitic comments (even though she's Armenian, not Jewish), so many slanderous comments about how she's going to buy new kitchen cabinets with the money. SO GROSS.

I feel dirty. And enraged. And a little bit hopeful, because her original goal was $6K, and she's raised $120K from people horrified at the vileness of the response.

Also, in window-shopping news: I wonder if I'd be able to gather this skirt up with dress clips or something to make it knee-length sometimes. [link]

Of course, I could also just email Kambriel and ask her how much it would cost to make me a knee-length version of the skirt. She's gotten sillier requests from me in the past.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee really goes above and beyond in wishing people luck.

OOPS!

Can you go to HR to complain about people chewing gum so loudly you can hear it over the cube wall? Maybe this is something lisah's rude co-worker would be good at. Give him some redirection of his efforts. For the common good, you know?

As for the online harrassment that Anita was receiving--I guess there's no point where those people stop, think about what they're doing, and realise--no, there still will be plenty naked women for their teenaged enjoyment. It's not like a series of documentaries will suddenly put clothes on everyone.

Punishingly Intricate

Ha! He actually works for another contractor, so I guess he's a colleague not co-worker exactly. At any rate, I'm wondering if his team put him up to talking to me about something bugging all of them because he's so mild mannered and polite usually?

Indeed. What really shocks me is that they're so upset about anyone even talking about this. She hasn't even made the videos yet!

OMMFG, your guys' shouting isn't actually less distracting because you're doing it in a language I don't understand. For god's sake hush or move.

Okay, I'm obviously wound tight today. Chewing behind me, loud heated arguments in front of me. And I'm not supposed to be working from home why again?
