Zoe: Uh huh. River, honey? He's putting the hair away now. River: It'll still be there... waiting.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

True fact: Being at work is incredibly relaxing after a weekend of planning and executing a 5 year-old's birthday party with my entire family in town.

Also true fact: Dylan qualified for the dual-language program at his kindergarten for next year! Which is great but means I should brush up on my Spanish if I'm going to be any help with homework.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is an adorable baby.

I wish the weather here was a little more consistent. I seem to be making effectively wrong decisions every morning.

No, it's not really the weather. It's the damned climate control in the office. It was actually warm in here last week, and now it's quite chilly.

Art Crawl!!!

Jessica - that's excellent. (the dual-language program.)

Despite my relief at getting out of the heat (by coming to work) I am now too cold.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Calm to le nubian (you don't have to get through it perfectly, you just have to get through!)

God meara. I think I actually exhaled upon reading this. I am a perfectionist in a messy house. I need to remind myself to let go of the perfectionism every day. I think that might help with tension headaches!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

thanks for the good wishes all. maybe I won't have a primal scream today.

Because books.

maybe I won't have a primal scream today.

That sometimes helps, too, you know. But I hope the calming ~ma does the trick.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

jobma to flea, and sanityma to le n

I was attacked by anxiety last night. Ack! My most common reaction to waking up that stressed is to turn into the Hulk and scream, cry, and smash things, but there was a little boy in the bed, so I couldn't let that happen. It was weird, trying to be quiet and not disturb everyone while filled with rage.

Ugh. Am now trying to hack away at my terrifying to-do list in the hopes of not being attacked again tonight.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Jesse, I thought I remembered that you did not screw in your air conditioner. Which is a weird thing to remember about a person, come to think of it... I think I will try it tonight and hope it does not plummet to the ground and take out my neighbor's air conditioner!

Amy - Jun 11, 2012 7:30:32 am PDT #9171 of 30001
Because books.

In all the years we've had them, I don't think we've ever screwed them in, Sophia. Just, uh, remember not to open the window.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! I am always the lazy one!
