My friend's flight now gets in at 1:15. I'm marketing at 8:30. BWI baggage claim is a slowass clusterfuck. Wish me....something.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I worked at WGBH in Boston when I first moved there in the early 80s, and I got to read their station history.

There was a great story about Mr. Rogers making a visit to the studio in Boston (his show was shot in Pittsburgh) in the mid seventies, and they were COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by the response. It was like little kid Beatlemania when he came out to meet his Boston fans.

There was a whole episode of the tv show Maude about how her husband liked to watch Mr. Rogers because he was so calming and decent.

Also my college roommate (Chip) grew up in Pittsburgh and went to school with Fred Rogers' son and got to meet him several times and said, "Yup, that's what he was like." Later after college Chip was running an educational foundation and did a lot of events with Mr. Rogers and affirmed that he was just one of the most genuinely nice people he'd ever met.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's a charming story, Suela.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Night two of downtown being taken over by the biker rally.

Would seven people having their hearts cut out really be such a price to pay for sweet, sweet silence?

Oo, it's the JPL open house this weekend, isn't it? I want to take the kids again.
