If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well of course it is.

No fun, babe. And ping me whenever, for sure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am going to do some unfucking this weekend, although I have been doing OK with regular maintenance-ish...

I also left work early, had a nice walk/shop with my friend, and made plans to get together for Marathon Day day drinking on Monday. Sweet!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha, once when we were living in mission housing, the former mission came and claimed all their furniture (which we knew, and knew we were using, and they would take back eventually). But it was still pretty alarming when trucks and trailers rolled up and rolled out and all that was left in the house was a dining room table with no chairs.

Before that, in Kansas, we'd had all blow-up or collapsible furniture because we'd gotten sick of moving. So it was pretty barren in there a while. Until I hit the thrift store jackpot.

But now I need to get rid of the last of that thrift store haul furniture and replace it with something dog-friendlier. That is to say, the dog loves the loveseat, it's just so fuzzy no one else can sit on it after he does.

Doing this weekend: giving book talk at local bookstore, then catching up on chores. In terms of editing, my publisher outsource copy-editing and layout to India. Also, as part of layout, word file was converted to a specialized (still word) format that laid things out for import into publishing software.

Lunch today - inspired by Pizza discussion a few days back, pasta with anchovies. Just boiled and drained some pasta, and added a can of anchovies(canned in olive oil as is right and proper) and a little garlic. And it was good

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Pizza sounds good. Pasta, too.

I have matzo. I also have some fresh salad greens, which I'm going to combine with some oranges and figs and pistachios. And I'm going to try to make matzo balls.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Which, okay, but someone still needs to DO those things or the project doesn't get done.

I used to have a boss who thought "someone else" worked in our department. Whenever she'd find us doing something like copying and collating stacks of paper at 7 p.m., she'd say, "Can't someone else do that?"

I just bought these sneakers: [link]

This is what happens when the office is this quiet. I spend money on shoes and surf the real estate listings. Today, I want this house: [link]

Probably it's a bit of a hassle, because it's right by a popular shopping area and parking on the weekends must be very annoying, but I love the front yard, and all the windows.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why hasn't this week ended yet? I mean, my brain went home three hours ago. Why can't the rest of me?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a very lovable house. So pretty.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

no off the street parking? is that common? That would drive me bonkers with a house with a yard.

Home now. clothes are drying, and now to deposit some checks and start adding up last year's medical expenses.
