Our wings are not tired.

Kat knows of what she speaks, and speaks the truth, msbelle.

I too would love to be ita's date!

Long convoluted story, but I may be going to Jamaica to watch the Olympics in August. My friend may be competing for the Bahamas in her 5th Olympics at the ripe old age of 47. Since we don't yet know if she will qualify, her boyfriend says we need to go home with him to Jamaica to watch her if she goes. As we well know, the US televised events will never ever show the Bahamian Javelin contenders, but each time she has competed he had no problem finding her events on Jamaican television. So that is the plan at the moment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The more the merrier!

msbelle--a little bird mentioned she had Visine on hand for such occasions. I wish that weren't a piece of advice I'd both take and give, but...there you are. I wish you didn't need it.

My migraine doctor seems fired up again--occipital nerve block and botox and I have no idea if the aspirin infusion is still happening...

Man, the latest changes to gawker.com suck so much that my sister, the definitive lurker, has emailed me to bitch about it. Denton is deliberately making it harder to read comments (he wants you to work, he says), and guess what so far--less reading happens.

I'd love to look at the numbers for the recent period where commenting was down.

Wait, Laura--why not the Bahamas?

(not gonna turn down the American green, tho)

Our wings are not tired.

My friend spends about a third of his time in Jamaica and has a family home there. So place to stay and all that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Liese,

the link about where your parents think you lived made me laugh out loud in the office. Not professional, but they hear me laughing all the time, so they are used to it!

The fuck? That makes no sense.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The fuck? That makes no sense.

Probably more click-throughs, more ad money?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I love that ita now has so many many dates for her sister's birthday.

Sending hugs and strength msbelle's way.

He wants to make sure that the comments earn it.

Mostly, I think he's throwing a Loki-level pissy fit.

I mean, I seriously can't work out how to use their commenting system anymore. It should not require instructions...and then not have good ones.

My mind is a teeny bit blown, because it had never occurred to me that the root verb of "clad" is "clothe". Like, random hate-on for ESL folks, much?
