WTF is with the vintage sellers on Etsy who are keyword spamming with "Gothic" AND "Grunge"?

I have been moderately productive today: paid my mortgage, went to the gym, went to BevMo to stock up on wine, went to TJ's, started laundry, took a nap.

Now I really should paint the back step. Or laze around. But tomorrow is my all-day play on Angel Island, so today I have do things.

Also, my sister doesn't want to go see Snow White with me. Hmm.

Also steampunk.

Y'know, that doesn't annoy me as much as the Grunge thing. Because even though some Steampunks don't like to admit it (I'm looking at you, Abney Park), a lot of the Steampunk subculture was lifted from Victorian Goth. We're cousins.

But Grunge? No. I do not want flannel shirts and ripped denim shorts with my silver ankhs and black lace, thanks.

Also, my sister doesn't want to go see Snow White with me. Hmm.

I have plans to finally see Avengers for the first time tomorrow. For the first time.

It's 74 inside my place. The heck? I turned the fan on.

About an hour ago, I though there was a window and got all ready and it started going crackers out there. It hadn't been on the radar 5 minutes before. I don't think we've had a downpour like that since Irene.

So I started a load of laundry and shredded all bills older than January and filed everything. Good, because I discovered I had misplaced my AAA renewal and would have forgotten it otherwise.

Well, after tonight, I should be good. And besides, they won't LET me swim in a storm. The pool manager might be willing to indulge me and let me finish my swim before he shuts down the pool so he can take a break to pee and make more calls (his guard didn't show and had no backup last night, but he waited until I was done even though I volunteered to let him kick me out for a bit, as I was the only one in the pool!) but lightning is apparently non-negotiable.

So I put on "Ladyhawke" - Beau hasn't seen it (!). I hadn't seen this film in like 15 years. I had forgotten the cheesy 80s music at least at the beginning of the movie.

Alan Parson did the music - which should give you an idea of the cheese.

Anyway, Beau also confessed he hasn't seen War Games!

WTF?

- I told him: I don't know you anymore.

Heh.

My neighbor just posted a video of some serious cloud rotation from the vantage of her back deck from just a little bit ago. I thought I saw some much earlier, but couldn't see all of it for the roofs across the alley. This is whack weather. Tornados and some significant damage throughout the region.

There's no excuse for Beau unless he's, like, twelve. Which I fervently hope he's not.

Now I want to watch Ladyhawke.
