"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am so tired. Where is my energy?

Liese, maybe I stole it. I came home from working out with my trainer and just BONKED. My plan had been to go to trader joe's afterward (since they're in the same building) but I just couldn't...got home, and laid down on my bed without even changing my clothes, and fell asleep for an hour. Oy.

But I feel better (still body-tired, but not OMG kill me) now, so maybe I leeched it from you. :)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That list of words...I was a research assistant for the Director of the International Student Center, and he was a Middle Eastern Poli Sci prof, and wrote papers, for which I helped him research, on a TON of the words and groups mentioned on that list.

I have also researched a fuckton on my own, for various MSS and general "I Like To Know Stuff" (googled a lot about nuc.l.r safety after the Japan tsunami) and, oh, Bi. O' TRRIZM for that interview with Seanan, and have probably googled 1/3 of those words. And D is a comp sec guy, and he's always on comp sec boards and feeds and IT security podcasts. I am fairly certain we have both landed on A List somewhere. Which is creepy-funny.

(Sorry to have wasted your time, analyst person; we're really quite boring and innocuous!)

Weird to think of.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I figure I've been on lists for ages, but I consort with people who cannot answer the question, "Have you ever conspired against the U.S. government?" with a resounding "No." So. I suppose at my level of paranoia I'd be mildly disappointed to discover I wasn't on any list anywhere.

My dad did Sanctuary, which pops him off a lot of prosecutors' jury lists for any illegal case.

Statute of limitations.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Words to Avoid Online If You Don't Want to Join the Government's Watch List

Discussion of any procedural tv show could easily include a lot of those words.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, let alone fanfic.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A surprising number of those words have come up in emails between me and my students regarding papers. Bizarre.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just exploderated a plate. Turned on the wrong element on the stovetop, and there was a plate and fork resting before reaching the sink. Plate shattered, and whatever was on it (and the fork) is never coming off, so they're both lost.

Wakey, wakey!

Also trying to watch a randomly recorded episode of Cougartown, and I totally don't get Abed's deal with the show. And Courtney Cox's top lip is going to eat me if I close my eyes. It already ate her. No one is safe.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

now i am wondering how innocently I can use a lot of those words in a paragraph....
