You should have taken your stylist, Jesse.

I am ok with drapey and leggings on weekends, or if you're a gallery assistant or something, but I'm a 39 year old woman with a job interview, dammit. And most of the people out shopping at 11am on a Tuesday were older than me; the Ann Taylor salespeople were calling me "sweetie" like I was a girl.

In other shopping news, dear shoe designers of the world - many of us with size 10 feet are proportionately tall, and do not have any need for 5-inch platform heels. And what's cute on a size 6 is not cute on my boat feet. Please consider our needs occasionally.

In my ever increasing bad news, the house we offered on is actually probably going to foreclosure auction today (oh if only I had access to $300,000 in cash!). They may be able to forestall the auction by pointing out that they have offers on the house. If they are able to postpone the sale, they will review offers this week. If they cannot, and it goes to sale today, it will come back on the market, either as a foreclosure or if an investor purchases it, as a “standard” sale. In either scenario, since the property is still occupied, the current owners would have to be given time to move out before re-listing the property, so it can take some time.

In other words, we're fucked. Instead, I think I should just start looking at rentals and be done with the crazy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What are these drapey things to which you refer?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I went and got a sassy new haircut and am now cleaning up the house. It should work out.

ita, I hope the nerve block works!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You should have taken your stylist, Jesse.

Wouldn't it be great to have a stylist??

My drapey looks like this, but about 6-7 inches longer. [link]

Dude, I'm trying!

ita !, I hope the nerve block works.

Kat, a rental would be less stress right now, right? If so, yes. Do that.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I could do drapey. Only if I could still wear my cargo pants. Hmph.

Yeah, I say rental. Rentals are not ideal, but you are not in an ideal situation and it would buy you some more time to get in the right place for you long-term.

Okay, I gotta get off my tail and get out to replenish the sugar water for the finches. There is a whole family out there complaining at me. And then housecleaning. And then work.

Pics, Cash! I need to get a new haircut too, but I can't ever figure out what I want to do.
