Also I don't want to carry a purse.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Needs more chaotic evil.

Yes, but which kind of chaotic evil? Southwestern (I'm grooving on cowboy hats and aged silver-and-amethyst jewelry right now, or everything these guys have [link] or... what? I'm too old for the punked-out look (though I will hold on to my knee socks 'til the day I die).

Also I don't want to carry a purse.

Purses are only for formal occasions, in my world. But I live in a coat-friendly climate.

The purse is where the wallet, Palm, Nook, keys, flashlight, penknife, coupons, and bag-o-drugs live. I boggle at people who can move through the world without stuff.

Hubby has keys, fat wallet, stray change/tools/nuts and bolts in one pocket, and a folding knife and his own bag-o-drugs in his other pocket. His pants sag a lot. He glares at me when I suggest a manly bag.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You don't have to carry a purse, per se. I've been carrying a backpack of one sort or another for twenty odd years (once I stopped carrying messenger bags).

It is a fabulous business plan. Seriously, I've saved it and everything!

Hey, I get a discount consult for that, right?

I think what I wore today is probably my most consistent look, that goes to work sometimes, and is 50% of my off-work clothes--fitted top (it's the Captain America baby tee again today), miniskirt (blue and purple tartan kilt today, but also sometimes sheath silhouette), opaque tights, and boots (biker today, but also sometimes cowboy or granny).

Still not the cohesivest, but I do feel very comfortable dressed this way.

I carry all that stuff, pretty much, and except for the Nook it all goes in the cargo pockets. The Nook goes in the backpack with the laptop and various music books/clipboards/tuners/metronomes/cables. But I don't always carry the backpack.

I need to buy new pants, and I think I'm going to go with the Duluth firehose cargos, but if I'm not giving up cargo pants, then I don't know how much I can do with the top half of my style to be anything other than what it is now. I guess more fitted tops rather than t-shirts? I can't see myself really starting to accessorize.

Ooooh. I can see that working really well for you. Black jeans or straight skirts with a high slit, tailored dress shirts worn open at the collar, and with cufflinks, cowboy hat. And cowboy boots or stompy boots.

How is a backpack different from a purse? Because it doesn't look like a purse? What I call my purse is a messenger bag. A bag of some sort is okay, where a purse is not?

Need the skirts, have the shirts, need less formal cufflinks (mine are a hair off tuxedo-formal), (always) need more boots. When are you coming down so we can go shop?

ION, a most delightful headline on Yahoo

George Will Calls Donald Trump a 'Bloviating Ignoramus'

"I do not understand the cost benefit here," Will said on the "This Week" roundtable. "The costs are clear. The benefit - what voter is gonna vote for him (Romney) because he is seen with Donald Trump? The cost of appearing with this bloviating ignoramus is obvious it seems to me."

Beautiful.
