I would be there right now.

He was teh Sexy in Jane Eyre. It's too bad he and Mia Wasikowska had no chemistry.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The outrage fatigue is fatiguing. Yesterday, the county Board of Education proposed closing Fernbank Science Center [link] because of budget shortfalls. Aside from the fact that Fernbank Science Center is the focus the school system's out-of-classroom science, the building reverts to the landowner, the very-high-admission Fernbank Museum, if it's not being used for educational purposes. After that, it will no longer be a lovely little free research museum and a $2 planetarium show and turn into a $17 admission facility that does no science. Also, facilities like the planetarium were built with county money, but the county loses them forever if the lease is broken.

There are various petitions and the like, but I don't know what really has a chance of doing any good.

Uhg. I hate that kind of waste and shortsightedness.

Pumpkin kinda clashes with the chair. But she approves of it, as does Loki. When Sandra was over, they were all over her and we weren't sure if it was her or the fact she was sitting in the chair, which is their new fort. At least the cathair comes off it easily (and is easily spotable, but that's kinda good because I can clean it off before someone sits down!)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm glad that your AC is working now, but I had to giggle, because we keep the AC set to 77 here, so I'm pretty chilly if it gets much below that.

LIZARD PERSON.

Okay, so looking at this top that was linked to here, what can you wear over it?

Leather. Black leather. No really.

With that top, I'd wear one of those croppy 3/4 length cardigan-shruggy things.

I have so many of those. No one sees my arms! None shall see!

Red chair is good.

I'm a little over-mojito'd at the moment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Christ, I just had to speed through my windows bookmarking and closing them willy nilly. Random clips from some song and urging me to vote against a proposition kept pouring from my speakers. I never found out which window it was either, but it seems to be gone now. I wish there were some Opera functionality that could tell me which page was generating audio--I know there's a Firefox plugin that does that, but I haven't been able to find the same for Opera.

And, man, that Rochester guy is a bit of a dick, huh? Good thing I'm not properly paying attention.

I have lots of that, but it goes from ankle length trench to cropped mod biker's jacket. They can't all possibly go with it. I'm wondering what length and what silhouette would be best with it.

brillig

Last summer I said "To hell with it" and began wearing tank tops. It's hot here. I need air flow. The world may gaze in horror on my fat arms to its contents

Look on my arm flab, you skinny, and despair!

Because books.

Sue, you really thought so, about Fassbender in Jane Eyre? Maybe I was giving more benefit of the doubt to the way Mia Can'tSpellThat was playing Jane.

It wasn't my favorite adaptation, but I did like it. I think my favorite might be the Toby Stephens one.

cropped mod biker's jacket

I think that would work. With skinny jeans and boots.

Our wings are not tired.

Suzi, next time glass gets in your disposal, cut a potato in half and use it to pick up the shards. Works beautifully for broken lightbulbs in sockets, too.
