I call them directories, but I've been using UnIx since 4.2BSD in 1985, and it's too late for me to change.
I gave up a few years ago, because the software we were implementing explicitly used folders in their documentation for their organisation metaphor, and now it's whatever comes out. I don't kick myself when folder comes out now, but *now* the software I'm working with calls them "spaces" and aaarggh!

The jug I gave you sorrel in? Yes, it has been forever, I think. But I'm not really feeling up to interacting with people who aren't giving me painkillers. I'm just braced against pain right now. But we should work out seeing each other sometime before your kids graduate university.
I had to think, but directories is my standard. I would know what people meant if they said folder, but spaces, not so much.
I was assuming for a while that a "space" was something different, like a root folder in their hierarchy, which might have different features than all the others, but the application consultants said, nope, this application uses the folder visual and the word "space". Very irritating, but I have to speak the same language as the developers and its users. Fuck that, I'm still saying dates my way though.
Okay, so looking at this top that was linked to here, what can you wear over it? I'm trying to visualise it under my jackets and stuff before I decide to spend money on it.
Came home from hot sweaty errand running to discover the house is 74degF and climbing, despite that the system insists itself is on and working.
I'm glad that your AC is working now, but I had to giggle, because we keep the AC set to 77 here, so I'm pretty chilly if it gets much below that.
Yeah, I figured as much ita, but thought I'd offer. Next time I run errands for you, I need to remember to bring it over.
I have been mulling that top as well. I was thinking of a cardigan, but I wear a lot of long cardigans.
I remember a three wedding summer with absolutely no guest list overlap but me, so I wore the same outfit three times.
Oh yeah -- I wore the same dress for two weddings last fall. And am considering it for one of these, because I hate only wearing things once or twice.
I think a shortish fitted blazer would work with it. You want to keep all those ruffles exposed.

Yes, this. I keep thinking it would be a great summer piece, and then remember I'm not yet comfortable with wearing sleeveless things. Will I ever remember to do things to tone my upper arms? Oh, probably not.
What about long lace gloves, Jilli?
