IO9 has pretty decent moderators. They do it for free. Some of the posters are granted admin rights, so it's one of "us" doing it. Works much better than on the other gawker sites, because pretty much anyone who disagrees with me gets their posts moved, and risk be de-starred, banned for a week, or booted permanently to the cornfield.
