See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

John Scalzi (owner of the Mallet of Loving Correction) and Ta-Nehisi Coates (wielder of the Banhammer) are also pretty vigilant moderators, and even on the rare occasions that their comment threads get swampy they don't stay that way for long.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

IO9 has pretty decent moderators. They do it for free. Some of the posters are granted admin rights, so it's one of "us" doing it. Works much better than on the other gawker sites, because pretty much anyone who disagrees with me gets their posts moved, and risk be de-starred, banned for a week, or booted permanently to the cornfield.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Everything about this Fug Girls slideshow on Revenge (not including last night's) is hilarious.

Facebook, twitter, or...I don't remember the third. I think I'd just made a [username]-IO9 and said dammit.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aside from the ridiculousness of the thing itself, it just feels like one more way to overcharge brides.
