"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So one of my major Christian musician buddies just went public on going clean. Well, I mean, nobody knew he was an alcoholic, so that was the part that was news. I knew, because I knew him, and I also knew they went dry because I got their rider asking for, like, cream soda instead. At the time we called a mutual friend who was all, yup, they're dry this tour. I'm really proud of him, because that segment of the church can be really assholes about that kind of thing, so it took a lot of nerve to speak up so publicly. (In an article in a major magazine that the magazine thought was an interview about their new album.)

And also trivially, I was thinking to myself that the fangirl moment I had on tour with them a couple of years ago where I was all, "[my childhood favorite drummer] is drunkenly patting my head!" will never be repeated.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Someone tell me it's okay for me to not be my sister or my BFF.

I would go further than that and say definitely don't be your sister or BFF. Do you!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I share because I care: [link]

And also because I keep getting the most amusing pictures of this guy across my dash. I can't even imagine what his interview persona is like.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

ita does care! Also a friend of mine told me today he's been taking classes at the krav center, so I assume you know his jujitsu teacher, of course.

You do you!!

OK, I want to go to both DC and New Orleans. Do I

(a) Spend 47K points to go direct to DC and then pay for a ticket to New Orleans ($400-500)

OR

(b) Pay for a ticket to DC ($400-500) but have to go connecting and buy a frequent flier ticket to New Orleans (65K points, but in first class (oddly, all that's available))

I can't decide which is better. I think I want the nicer flights to DC, but New Orleans is so damn expensive to get to!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

msbelle: You need to tell Uncle G that an Ethiopian restaurant just opened in the neighborhood!

meara: I don't remember; did you have a cat when I visited last year?

Assuming it's still Richard, yes I do. Want me to go sleep with him? I'll totes take that one for the team.

I don't know if I even deserve such riches.

Also, Chrome, why are you such a fuckup? I fire it up on my Mac, and everything else grinds to a screeching halt. Everything else. Chrome works just fine.
