'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That is handsome you just can't stop.

I suspect that the reason the scam works so often is that young, inexperienced travelers do end up in trouble often enough that there's a certain amount of believeableness to the situation. Being that said niece actually talked on the phone, and also deferred forwarding money she probably isn't being held at gunpoint or anything. ;)

I am applying for a serious grown-up job. Like, a real job that I could do and they would pay me well! Which, of course, is resulting in a strong desire to start creating shopping lists on Pinterest. I've done all the nitty gritty stuff and now I need to write the cover letter, which is really important for a job like this. Don' wanna.

Some of the best job-seeking advice I got was not to stress over the cover letter too too much, unless you know for a fact that it will be seen by the hiring manager.

4 hour mechanical delay in St. Louis. That's a huge percentage of a 41 hour trip. At least I'm home and laundry is getting done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG I am so tired. But good! My grandmother and I had a hilarious conversation on the ride home about how our family is so awesome.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is there a general agreement about acceptable tones in NY Times Fashion and Style pieces that means this [link] is totally self-aware and not as creepy as it seems to my literal eyes?
