Grace is out of surgery. No decannulation. Maybe next time they'll go down a size in trachs. In other words, she will still be trached until at least next year this time. And it will mean she will be further behind in school because she can't talk.
I'm done for the day. Too bad I still have 3 classes to teach.
Ugh!
So basically if you had been a deadbeat sooner, this would've been EASIER? That seems so wrong.
A similar thing happened to a friend who wanted to consolidate credit card debt or something -- she always paid on time (but not enough to get anywhere), so she didn't qualify for certain kinds of support.
Aw shit, Kat. I'm sorry things didn't go the way you hoped.
Yesterday's grown-up pup was a pug that lives with a liver flatcoat.
Man, at first I thought "liver flatcoat" was some sad chronic disease the pug was living with.

As long as you're still treading water, they won't throw you a life raft. You've got to be sinking and half-dead already before you qualify for help.
some twinkie named Krystal Ball
She ran for... some gov'mint office around here last year. We couldn't stop making fun of the billboards. "Krystal Ball sees the future of politics!"
I'm sorry it didn't happen, Kat.
I'm rooting for your girl, Kat. Soon enough it'll be just like Noah--you'll think back to the quiet times when she didn't talk.
Sorry about that Kat. I had my fingers crossed.
erika,
I'm done with him. His twitter feed was "nauseating" last night.
I'm sorry, Kat. She's seems so eager to learn that it's a shame this is keeping her back. House ~ma, at least.
How frustrating, Kat. I'm sorry.
Maybe looking at what Arizona has to offer makes even people's screw-ups look better. Probably this.
Not that I haven't had my fill of "Both sides..." this and that when it's not.
