The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The view from my front door right now

I don't think it's enough for Good Things, but it made me smile

Also, I had forgotten about this one: [link]

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I want a bouncy house!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You should send the cat one to Get Out of There, Cat.

I have never been in a bouncy house. At least, not as an adult?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

You should have been here for the twins birthday as they had a star wars bouncy house, with a basketball hoop AND light sabers.

Not all together, right?

Um. YES. All together! That's what made the bounce house super awesome.

Can I have collective AWW or HUZZAH for my Taylor? She just got back from competing at [link] and called to give me a trip report. She was positively giddy, the way one is after a professional conference that boosts your confidence (and sleep dep.) Turns out, she spent a fair amount of time talking to the kid who ended up winning $75K for his dipstick pancreatic cancer test and was just thrilled for him. "He totally cried. I kinda cried too."

She didn't win anything, but she's rightfully proud of her work (developing cushioning in helmets that eliminate concussions, in layperson terms.) She got extra judges who were interested in her work come interview her and in her words "I'm not done with this yet, that's why I didn't place any further. I know this is good work and I can get this even better. It's emotional and passion for me." And she had a fantastic time, got a lot of contacts, companies and college people talking to her.

She was just so happy.

We rented a bouncy house for a family reunion a few years ago. Two of my mom's cousins, then ages 72 and 75, decided that it looked like fun, so they got in and started jumping with the kids.

Hooray for Taylor!

I'm scared of me bouncing with a lightsaber. Danger! Danger!
