I look at those pictures and think "I could store things in all those holes! Like my beads!" Tryptophilia? Related to the unnatural fondness for office supplies?

Happy Birthday Vortex!
My 30s were better than my 20s, which were better than my teens. My 40s are a mixed bag so far(On the plus side, financially stable, married to the love of my life, in pretty good health. On the negative side, personal disappointments that I'm dealing with)
Meet the sarcastic fringehead, an oddly named fish who looks like the Predator
Huh. I had no idea they looked like that.
Ugh. I don't mind some holes (the bubbles in chocolate--no problem) but anything related to insect hives makes me cringe.
ita, I found yesterday's Scalzi post ... frustrating. Today's, on his own blog, is horrifying. There's one guy who is posting swastikas over and over again.
Scalzi might have chosen a better day to post that than a day he's at a con...
The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Is Ready To Make A Comeback
Prince looks young in this picture. Like... two.
Scalzi just showed up himself a few seconds ago, and is about to start swinging the mallet.
I really really really like both posts, but the comments are a swamp (those on the first post rather less so because he was actively malleting most of the day, but today's... oh, dear God have mercy).
check out this photo shoot with Noomi Rapace (original "Dragon Tattoo" and now in "Prometheus").
Gorge.
Consuela, you mean the post about yesterday's post? I started reading it and got this far into the comments:
I have always thought this analogy explained it so much better than the “P” word (I think that offends white people as much as the “N” word does blacks)
...and I'm out. Jesus, way to go to be a case study, while still being convinced you're part of the solution. Not to mention how long I had to spend reading that over and over before I even worked out what he was talking about.
Of course it's a flawed metaphor. How could something so complicated with such twisted roots in history be explained with a simple equivalent (however, I now know what a dump stat is, so that's cool)? Why do some of the readers not get that it's going to be hard to explain?
But I guess if you don't actually pay attention to what you're reading, it's easy to...BE FULL OF OFFENSIVE BULLSHIT.
I'm gonna wager, anyway.
