I wish you could see the pictures, but consuela has it so right. This was in last month's NYT Mag. Let me see if I can dig up photos [link]
Oh, they did a nice job with that. It takes a lot of enthusiasm (and money!) to rehab these places, because they're so hard to get to. And hiring professionals to do any work is ridiculously expensive.
Burrell--I'm not really taking msbelle seriously, it's just rare that my actual day-to-day job comes up here. It's fun to geek out about it a little.
Which reminds me, yesterday was payday, I need to get my donation in.
Me too. Address still the same, Jesse (for a paper check)?
consuela, they actually did hire people. But they worked only in summer and camped on the islands. The owners, obviously, have their own boat. The photos in the NYT were amazing and lovely.
But how pissed must his wife had been when he bid on it without asking her?
Speaking of bidding, we are starting house hunting. I'm a little afraid. We are finally preapproved for a home loan and I'm trying not to freak out.
Eep! It's an exciting process, even though scary.
I had to take an Ambien last night because my sleep is wrecked from this. And work stress.
I am actually feeling, a bit, like I can't deal.
Will they work for sugary treats
Hard to say, they are some pretty adept negotiators.
I love it when a plan comes together!
Ah ha ha ha!
Wow Kat, that is exciting news. And scary, but in a good way!
Exciting, Kat! Good luck with that.
BTW, I should warn you guys that my horoscope said I would be increasingly cranky as the day went on. So far so good, but who knows what's to come?
