I'm in the middle of a civil rights wasteland, but at least Arkansas is a little better than other southern states in that it allows same sex couples to adopt and has anti-harrassment laws in school. Also, regardless of the laws hospitals here actually do allow people other than spouses and children unlimited visitation, though I don't know how they handle medical decisions when the patients can't make them themselves.

oh Sparky, your link did not accept me. I had already been linked to it on FB. Just stating I can't read it. I would normally find it facinating. And just cause I don't want to be misunderstood, I don't think mac is a psychopath. I do think some kids are an it is horrible and tragic. Why I can't read it is because of people who talk about mac as if he is as extreme and unchanging as these kids, and he is not.

This morning did not start any better than last night. mac ate my breakfast while I was showering because he was mad at me. Mad at me for serving up a consequence after he disobeyed specific instruction last night and then lied about it. I gave him punctuated finger points of righteous indignation this morning, I'll tell you what.
