I hate scheduling my life. event planning is a job, not a lifestyle choice I can get behind.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

But I think 90% of being a mom is scheduling.

Yesterday we had a Lowe's build and grow at 10:00, Swim lessons at 10:45, birthday part at 11:30, baseball game at 3:20.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have done EVEN MORE laundry and also now have green toenails, so that's good.

OK, now I'm going to double-work, watching Frontline and typing up some stupid notes.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We went out to lunch, then looked at the plants at the Home Depot. Then we came home and took the dog to the lake, where there was an off leash dog causing issues. Much smaller than the Biscuit, but I hate that stuff because it's fine until it's not. So I tore up the inside of my knuckle grabbing the Biscuit's leash. The girls the dog belonged to were there, but lackadaisical about it.

Now we're home and I'm chilling until hockey starts in a half hour, even though I should be taking advantage of the time and housecleaning. I have a little extra time, because somebody at the restaurant gave us their leftover pizza. They were driving back to Phoenix and couldn't take it, so we took it! Awkward, but score!

So I don't have to cook dinner.
