I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I miss ita, too.

I'm glad Mac's home, though.

Not that clear liquids are exactly festive, I know.

Depends. Are vodka, scotch, or rum options? (Probably not, I know.)

I just found out that my nifty new manager is relocating to MA for her husband's new job. (I'm in NC.) She'll be trying to work remotely. I hope it'll work out, because she's been a terrific manager.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Suela, despite the headache she's caused you of late, I wouldn't wish your mother's MD on anyone.

Nope. Having had to do that kind of fast, I'd say Gatorade and the like are your best options since they stave off the headache the longest.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'm glad Mac is home, if huffy. The 25 day thing sounds normal, for insurance reasons, and also, IME, most children's and teen's outpatient service providers have waiting lists a mile long, sadly, For every kid that gets booted on that 25th day, there's usually another kid or three that's loaded right in, and they've been waiting.

I hope he gets a good program; I've dealt with providers in KC that were great and a few that I wanted to burn to the ground and salt the earth.

Whoever's in touch with her, please let her know that we're thinking of her and sending her good vibes.

Re: ita !, yes, this please from me as well. I miss her pixels and am sending heal-ma.

Tom, looking forward to hearing how the interviews go. I hope it's a place that you would be happy and they offer you a fab position with lots of money, sparkly cupcakes and a pony. Or maybe a pet otter.

Have to wrangle the dog to go get his shots in a bit. Then fun with copyediting and worky stuff until SPN tonight.

Ooh, and I'm making butter chicken for dinner! Maybe I'll get a bottle of wine when I'm coming back from the vet's.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I don't know if I posted this in here, but I'm all weepy about it:

It is not raining in Seattle. Which is sweet. And somehow you'd think that working from home I'd manage to get out into that sunshine more. But I feel guilty if I have good food at home and go out to lunch, but it's not nice enough (nor are there parks nearby nice enough) to eat my lunch outdoors. Hrmph.

Also, I want my hair to be long enough for pigtails already. Because it's making me crazy, and I know it'll be a long time before it's ponytail ready, but c'mon, pigtails??

Awww. Did you know that the first game the Mets played after he died, every batter used Beastie Boys songs as their walkup music?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Glad Mac's home, msbelle. And may it be not too onerous to sort out treatment for the summer.

I miss ita, too. I'm dying to hear her take on the Avengers, plus I just miss her on-point snark, and knowing she's around. Please tell her we wish her better.

Yay, Tom!

And may things go as well as possible for Suela's mom.
