Tep, you should have been in the hotel with SA and I when we were going at the whole... thing.
There were thoughts. And discussions.
I, too, would like a girlfriend who looks like Lara Pulver.
Lots. I'm not sure Paul would approve, sadly. Nor am I sure I would share.

Well, it's not like you've been obsessed with the character of Irene Adler for the last 20+ years.
Oh, and reading
Straight: The Surprisingly Short History of Heterosexuality
has me VERY THINKY about such matters, too.
Well if you're not sharing, no wonder Paul doesn't approve. I'm just saying.

I actually haven't been, really. Adler in ACD is a slight character, a cipher onto whom various interpretations have mapped their own thoughts and desires, some of which make me go 0.o.
Mary's more interesting.

For reasons that would align with the thinky thoughts Tep and I should be sharing regarding the spectrum of sexuality, I'm not sure he'd want to.
Yeah, Irene was OK, and lots of John protesting "We're not a couple!" but--Baskerville!!!!

All I can do right now is wave my hands and try to get my mind around Irene's repeated dinner invitations ("Just to be clear, since I'm bad with social nuance," I asked Tim, "Dinner is a metaphor, right?") and Sherlock's eventual declaration that he's not hungry, and yet -- my brain is reeling.
I couldn't decipher -- what did she say after
John said 'I'm not gay" and she said "Oh, but I am. ______" Then we heard the text tone and she said "neither one of us, I suppose"
?
eta: oops, you're right. spoiler fonted. Doesn't really spoil anything, but a fun moment.
