A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I only wear PJ pants to the convenient store at 10 pm in the winter with a ugly parka to get smokes.

We had visitation with mac this morning. 1 hour which was way too short, but sitting at a table in the cafeteria couldn't really be much longer. Still no word on how long he will be in. I will probably get a bunch of stuff done around the house today, because I cannot manage to watch tv or be online for long.

I've already hung 3 pictures in the hall and done a load of laundry. I want to get some of the clutter removed while he is gone. I think a strict very strict routine is in my future and clutter does not help.

Now I am tackling paper around my computer area.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh msbelle, your tag combined with what you're dealing with makes me tear up. My thoughts are with you and Mac.

Echoing what Pix said. It's terribly, terribly hard for loving parent(s) to deal with a troubled child -- hard for them, hard for the kid.

I wish you love, patience, and the acquisition of milestones on y'all's journey to better.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How's he doing msbelle? Is he scared?

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh msbelle, I wish things were easier. A strict routine sounds like a good plan.

I finally lost it with Noah today. He was exhibiting toady behavior. So I took away the chance of him going to his baseball game and a birthday party and I took away his legos, the board games, no TV and no outside time to play.

He will also not get to use the iphone again for a long long long time and I deleted all the apps he likes anyhow.

He's being very quiet now which I appreciate.

He just wants out. He can call every night and last night all he said was to get him out and then he asked if he could get a DS. I think he is still not accepting responsibility for being the reason he is there.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Thanks, Erin, but better to send to my profile email address, which I can also access through my phone. (My cellphone number is in my profile, if any Buffista wants it.) Picture and video messaging are blocked on my cellphone account, for cost and spam control.

You and DH should check out Powell Observatory some time, it is a nice facility, in a good location not much farther south than Spring Hill.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Poor guy. I’m 45, and I still struggle getting a handle my own set of self-destructive behaviors.

you don't run into traffic. you also don't go around hitting people or loudly threatening suicide.

We may be looking in an outpatient facility for the summer where he would be in a locked secure facility with professional medical/counseling staff all day and then come home each night. None of us really believe he can go the whole summer without incident.
