Hey, I just remembered a question I had for the hivemind! Tell me about these FitBit things. Do I want to get one, now that I am working a day job and am taking the bus and whatnot? I need to get moving around more.
ION, I left work early and am working from home, because email went out that the scheduled May 1st protests downtown were almost certainly going to screw up bus commutes from work.

My mother had a cousin whose name was pronounced Lee-on, but I think it was spelled Lyon.
I don't know where Leone came form in our family. My aunt Leone was from my grandmother's first marriage, which I don't really know that much about. Mostly were have a lot of Irish, French and Catholic names. Lots of saint's names.

OMG, my commute was such a clusterfuck! The van was ten minutes late, ten extra minutes of standing in the cold and rain waiting, then of course we were stuck in the traffic which made him late, and then he took a ridiculous route, which luckily meant I could hop out actually closer to my house. On the upside, I then went and got a free grilled cheese sandwich. But I just got home, 55 minutes later than I should have.

Looks like my commute is going to be complicated, as well: the protests downtown are screwing with the bus schedules again, and I shall have to do some hiking. Happily, I remembered to wear loafers this morning, so the walk won't be a problem.

Consuela, my roommate just got sent home early because there is rioting (what precisely constitutes rioting, anyway? Are they really rioting, or just angrily milling about PENDING the rioting?) at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. To which she said "Yes, that makes sense. The anarchists hate liberal activist judges just as much!"
Rioting at the courthouse? Oy.
There was apparently a plan to Occupy Child & Protective Services. WTF.
