For the record, finches look huge once hummingbirds are around.
Yesterday the SO & I had a date day. We drove out to this marvelous creekside trail along the Little Colorado. Seabiscuit loved it. On the way back, we passed this huge open ranchland...where a couple had set up a dining table complete with tablecloth and flowers and champagne. Just the two of them, having dinner alone at the corner of their massive ranch. Aww. Dunno if it was an anniversary or a "we just bought the ranch" celebration, but it was super romantic, and must have been gorgeous for them. All the cattle grazing the grassland, and then the mountains in the background.

I feel like we've been slower than usual in general these last few months. And like our userbase is lower too. But I don't have the numbers to back it up. Plus, I kinda don't want to see the numbers because since I've gotten Android access, I post all the damn time now.

Leo's injured leg is much better, and he clearly feels better, because he's been a yowly annoyance all morning, just like his normal self. I missed him when he was all quiet and sleeping in his hidey box all day.
I only gained back a pound of what I'd lost over the long weekend/conference, despite my indulgences.
My sister helped me partially fence in the porch, and eventually I'll come up with a solution for the part that needs a gate, so Leo can't escape again. We used lattice for the fence, and it looks good. It's also keeping the fox and the skunk from ambling onto the porch to look for cat food. So the porch is cleaner too.
