Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was more confident in 2004 than I am tonight, even though polls look better for Obama today than they did for Kerry in '04, right? Maybe being burned that year makes me more cautious this year.

My bf Cory is talking to a runner-up bf Brian on my TV right now. NF should show up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm still on DVRed shows -- we'll see how long I can hold out.

I am calling this RIGHT NOW! Brain Williams has my attention for the night. If things go off track and I have to pull back that announcement, it will be a move to PBS.

Aren't Stewart and Colbert doing a thing again? that's what got me through the last one...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

msbelle, I think they're streaming it live.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I feel a little sad because no matter who wins, half the people I know will be upset. Unless my guy wins! That would be awesome! Then everyone I know will be upset!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Tim is back from voting. He voted Obama.

My stomach has been upset all day (not about Tim; or, at least, not just about Tim), to the point of gastrointestinal...instability. So I am having rice and scrambled eggs right now.

And the truth is that I'm only eating food right now so that I have something in my stomach so I can fix myself a damn drink.

Yay Tim! He should get a cookie. (Because of the cookie poll. Or possibly the Cookie Monster.)
