In Cincinnati at least - maybe all of Ohio? - we use paper ballots, which are then tabulated by machines. Which means if there is a dispute over the tabulations, there could be a manual recount. Not that this would be fun, but I do appreciate the paper trail for this reason.
Here too! And me too, I mean.
There were a couple of people in front of me, but probably 80% or more of the district had already voted -- the guy said he's never seen turnout like that there. So that's good! I was #500, and got a sticker.
I love my OCR ballots and don't understand how any place would choose touchscreens instead. Instant count at the time you vote AND there's a big fat non-chaddy piece of cardstock in case it comes to that! What's not to like?
Absofuckinglutely. They ought to be standard.
Time for another plane...
I'm going to go to my usual Tuesday night trivia, because I think I will be more sane with a break in obsessive results watching. This won't keep me from hovering around the televisions between questions.

If he loses he'll just read out his "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt" article, with 'Detroit' crossed out and 'Everyone' written in block capitals.

Well he is a practicing Mormon. At my Mormon cousin's wedding there was no alcohol, instead they had a candy bar.

Ahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
That fucking guy. Seriously.
Ohio polls close at 7:30, and Tim just came home about 20 minutes ago, before heading back out to vote, and as he left, I was practically begging him to vote for Obama. I guess I do want him to think the way I do. At least on this.
