hip deep in pie

she says "of course it only works if you're open to it" Yeah. That's what's at hand here.

Fuckin hell!!!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

There's also this Two Lumps/Doctor Who-related comic: [link] Which I think is hilarious because I am 12.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, way to be all offended that your homeopathic remedy had a physiological reason why it won't work, nurse! Gee, if only you'd come along and healed my friend with your magical thinking earlier!

Also, putatively speaking, looking at airfares for my DC trip, I see that one of the cheaper options brings me into BWI but leaves from DCA. With Buffista help, does that seem logistically doable? I know there's Amtrak or something, and the hotel would be right by Union Station.

Also if I wanted to try to do anything else other than the protest, would peeps be around? (December 17thish - 20thish?) I'm assuming the day of the event (Wednesday) will be totally taken up because it's Native run, and by a guy who wrote a paper on the Navajo perception of time, at that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What the fuck, ita !. Do any doctors work there, indeed. I'm sorry that you have to go through this shit AGAIN.

Don't get Veteran's Day off. Voting tomorrow between the early-morning and the lunch crowds; benefit of working from home. Doubt I'll actually be working, though, because power still hasn't been restored to the NJ offices and it doesn't look good for tomorrow either.

Librarian Warlord

That's completely do-able, Liese. BWI has both AMTRAK and MARC trains (my last MARC ticket from BWI was $6) to Union Station and DCA is on the Metro.

We should be around!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got the "this has addictive potential" speech. So I reminded her that if I'd had what my docs recommended, I'd have had less dilaudid, and this bed would be open for ACTUAL SICK PEOPLE. Instead, I'm waving away nurses who keep offering me a little more dilaudid "just in case".

Oh, yeah--I'm totally setting shit up for addiction here, right? It's all on me? Hand to god, I have been turning down dilaudid for the last 4 hours because it's just dilaudid, not a plan. I don't want them to just keep a steady stream of opiates into my bloodstream that ends up to be way more than what my doctors requested, and way less effective.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

My day off tomorrow is back on! I don't have to come in, just be on call. (Yes, they're very flaky here).

Lavender oil is no joke, yo.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I hope Nurse Paisley Moonblossom has some lavender oil handy in lieu of painkillers the next time she has a broken bone or similarly painful problem so she can test its efficacy for herself.

I think I made the wrong choice for sheriff on my early voting ballot. Only heard ads about his opponent being endorsed by police organizations and his retiring predecessor after voting, so I went mainly by years of experience in law enforcement.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Goddamn, ita !. What in the everloving hell? So they decided the agreed-on ineffective plan wasn't ineffective enough? And fucking lavender oil? Seriously, "attack the migraine with hummus" might make more sense.

Re: Romney not paying taxes - my understanding is that this was a legal loophole now closed (he's grandfathered in) that he used on a small percentage of his income. It's just a part of the picture. Also, somehow, it paid him an annuity, which may have hurt the church's funds? Don't quite understand that part.
