I think I've decided to wait for an actual news story, rather than word-of-mouth (which is what I currently have), and then re-post it.
Liese, where in Indiana?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Bad news, over the course of the weekend both of our toilets clogged, plunging be damned.
Good news, emergency maintenance call and they are both snaked and working.
Right now I'll take this perk of apartment living.
Shrift, did you try this place [link] ?
Any hardware store ought to carry the part. American Standard is a common brand.
I probably could find something at Home Depot, since I imagine they have more selection than Ace Hardware, but after the debacle that was my hunt for a side mount toilet tank lever, I'm just ordering the exact part I need.
And then I will spend election night with my hands in a toilet.

Oh, right. That's across the street from Deluxe. I'll keep that in mind the next time I have hardware needs.
I think I just stepped over the line on Facebook. No way to pull back.
I don't think you should.
I'm so sick of the Pro-Life Fetus Fetish. If you want to stop abortions, support a political agenda that will help make them unnecessary. Don't like Planned Parenthood--MAKE IT UNNECESSARY. Support universal healthcare, subsidized child care, tax credits, increased education spending, paid maternal leave, comprehensive sex education and the ready availability of contraception.
GAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
OMG yes, Cashmere. The refusal to support birth control on the part of the anti-abortion crowd really torpedoes any argument that they're not about controlling sexuality.
On the other hand, quite a number of them are pretty open about wanting to control sexuality. They just don't see how it's really not possible to do it. If we could just write the laws perfectly, teenagers would stop having sex!
(That a full third* of women getting abortions are already mothers doesn't seem to factor into their paradigm...)
* possibly a quarter, I don't recall precisely

I don't understand how Planned Parenthood became the bad guy. I swear every time I've been in there I've been surrounded by pregnant gals and new moms bringing their baby in for a check up.
