After Sandy, the neighbors behind me just pulled down a whole bunch of ivy that was growing on their building.

Bummer to lose all that green, but that much ivy was probably damaging the walls of that building.

Wow. I think the first time I did early voting was 3 hours, but it was in a library so there was stuff to look at. I really just need to not wait until the end of the day. I don't think wait times are that bad earlier.

I'm going to try to vote early Tuesday morning, before work. If that doesn't work out, though, then I'll have to drive back home in the afternoon to vote, then drive back to campus by 6 to give an exam.

Our early voting is only M-F 9:00 to 5:00, which makes me wish I had done absentee, but I guess I will vote on Tuesday instead.

OMFG. Y'all remember the plumbing drama I had back in March?

Yeah, I just walked out into my garage to get something and the SAME EXACT THING was going on (luckily this time I seem to have walked in somewhat sooner). Just called the plumber's emergency service to be like WTF. There was a rusted pinhole leak in the thing, which is what happened to the last one six months ago (though I went two years without a problem before that) so there's clearly a bigger issue going on here.

When I got my BlackBerry Curve, I was on Virgin Mobile, and they don't use SIM cards. But it's just a BBerry, so a SIM card could be put into it, couldn't one?

No. It's dependent on carrier not phone manufacturer. BB makes phones that don't have SIM cards and ones that do. Even if it did take a SIM card, the phone would have to be unlocked to accept a UK SIM card.
