If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Polenta, that's a great idea. I think I have cornmeal. Otherwise, or for leftovers, I think I'll do pasta. It seems like it will make a really good next day pasta salad.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The OH Sec of State wrote a temp order (this is being challenged in court right now) about voters needing to fill out a form in order for their vote to count AND he acknowledged that a software glitch purged 33,000 voters.

Husted installed an experimental software patch on voting machines also.

I guess the DOJ can't just chain up Sec of State now, but I wish this situation would be treated the same way if we had video of him assaulting and battering people. He needs to step down and someone from DOJ needs to come in and put in the most expansive access as possible.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I voted!!!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I voted, too! I was walking out of the building exactly 2 hours after I got in line.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wonder if more states will institute early voting for the next election cycle. I mean, if Sandy had hit this weekend instead of next, half of the East Coast wouldn't have been able to vote.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Overt voter suppression? Is that really the part of the good ol' days that they want to go back to?

Of course it is.

We can only vote here on Election Day. You have to have a good reason to vote absentee (although I'm not sure how they check).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

After Sandy, the neighbors behind me just pulled down a whole bunch of ivy that was growing on their building.

Before. After.

There were a whole bunch of birds that were living in the ivy. And now the view out my window is a whole lot less green. And there’s a whole lot more exposure. Sad now.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Here, too. I was thinking about telling them I was leaving for UK two days before I do, so I could vote absentee.

When I got my BlackBerry Curve, I was on Virgin Mobile, and they don't use SIM cards. But it's just a BBerry, so a SIM card could be put into it, couldn't one? Very confusing.

Now I'm with Credo Mobile, and according to their website, my Galaxy cannot make calls in the UK. I'll call them tomorrow and find out for sure.

Took me about 4.5 hours to vote.

Tom, that would make me sad, too.
