Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, if you think 28 Days Later is not a new iteration in an old genre, YOU ARE JUST WRONG.

Seriously, how is this even a conversation?

Oh, hey, msbelle, who's the football player in the Gatorade/NFL ad with the braids (I'm pretty sure they're not locks)?

One day I'm going to see the West Hollywood Halloween parade. But thinking about it makes me feel all old and tired as fuck.

I know I'm overinvested in silicon when things make noises in my apartment, and it takes a while to realise that I set the web log analysis program to run monthly, dump the reports in my Dropbox account, and then IFTTT sends me a text. When that shit wakes you up in the middle of the night, it really makes me wonder why I'm not doing something useful with tech, like turning the volume down when I'm asleep.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I threadsucked Natter and will slowly consume it during breaks from eamils at work, but for now, here's the very funny thing about work:

According to my computer, it's November. And I'm in my office, with my low blood pressure, in a short sleeve shirt with the a/c on, because it's still summer outside.

Between Sandy, global warming, and this, I do not understand weather anymore. The only reason I carry a jacket with me is because of the generally freezing a/c in the Israeli public transportation.

Somebody, please let me know when weather will start making sense again. We've been having summer since May. Sure, it's not the 30-40 Clausius degrees anymore, but we're still in the 23-28 Clausius degrees area.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm still unreasonably chuffed that my aunt's house was still intact in that picture. Even though it was going to be completely gutted and seriously rearranged soon anyway. There's just something about it being a favorite place of my childhood, and there's not as many of those as there used to be.

Last night Jon Stewart said something about 'watching all your childhood memories be washed away.' I nearly choked up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG. I just ran out of candy, and I don't think I am out of trick or treaters.

You should have sent them to Le Nubian's!

Last night Jon Stewart said something about 'watching all your childhood memories be washed away.' I nearly choked up.

Yeah, that's really sad.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Texted out for mental health day, snuggled with the kitties under the blankets a little longer. Now to find out if the bus near me is running so I can get to work without bumming rides. Is the nj transit website updated? How do I find that out short of walking to the bus stop and potentially waiting for a bus that won't show?

Why does everyone I know with a spare room/couch and power also have a cat? If I have to come back every day to check on them, might as well stay the night at home and share my body heat and make sure they have kitty caves to snuggle in when I'm up.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Here's the list of NJ Transit buses that have resumed service. It looks like it's most of them. [link]

There may be a website/app like NextBus that shows actual status. I'd go ahead and google that -- you aren't the only person wondering.
