My former student is in Long Beach and the last I saw, they were staying through the storm, and she posted a picture on Facebook of the water half way up the living room walls.

My mother chose to stay and now I have no way of reaching her or anyone else in town.

Kristen, news is reporting that they are trying to get up a temp cell phone tower for Long Beach, but it not up yet. LICC is where they are having people go for a shelter. Red Cross is set up there.

I am working on a spreadsheet project. Lots of cutting and pasting and re-formatting. I have two monitors, so I am still getting work to people while I listen to the news and occassionally watch some reports.
