I seen you without your clothes on before. Never thought I'd see you naked.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Gad, the Wind Map is freakin' mesmerizing right now. It looks like a Van Gogh. The eye is right over NJ. Must be getting creamed.

Punishingly Intricate

lisah, may you have twinnage fun!

It's been good times. I tried to teach them how to play Scrabble, we read a little Lemony Snicket. Plus had delicious butternut squash/broccoli rabe lasagna made for us & cookie swap rehearsal cookie and lots of wine. And Archer. Hope everybody sleeps okay and that the power holds!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

...And power is lost at stepson's as well as tree on house. FUCK. They're ok, but FUCK.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh man. NYU Tisch hospital lost power. They have to evacuate out all of the PICU/NICU kiddos. According to reports, nurses are bagging the ventilator patients by hand.

Can't even imagine,

Oh how awful.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Oh, my god, that explosion was INSANE.

Hundreds of gallons of mineral oil make a great torch. ConEd was trying to shut down power ahead of flooding, but there's just too much water, plus they'd try not to isolate critical loads like hospitals.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't see any way that explosion happens without a lot of people hurt. I don't know what kind of staffing they run at under these circumstances, but I hope there was time to get out.

It's fucked up out there. And I am simply stunned to still have power. Hoping it lasts. Afraid to voice anything more. And I'm not normally superstitious.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Worried about my northeast friends and family.

My mom is staying next door to her house with my gram (in my old house in CT), and her brother is in town and stuck here, which is good. I feel much better that she has someone else with her in case anything happens to Gram. They lost power about eight hours ago, and shortly after, a big ol' tree fell across the dirt driveway and took out the above-ground power lines. If the power comes back on (unlikely, but still), they have a live line situation.
