I am so glad that most of my workplaces have not involved adults who act like high schoolers. And I could use a pumpkin bread recipe; I have to make something for a Girl Scout bake sale, and I'm feeling like I need something seasonal and new.

Also, I am drinking. There's wine in the beef stew and wine in my glass. Since I spent most of the day holding an extremely feverish, at one scary point nearly delirious, six year old, I have earned it. Although possibly red wine and candy corn is not the best mixture.

My father is still sick, the power is out in Jamaica, my head hurts so much I cried through my dermatologist's appointment (none of my variegation is suspicious) and I just need to get stuff accomplished at work and I can't make decisions and I can't get information (don't send me emails asking for stuff if you then tell me you don' read email--I can call and check up on you, but I don't like nagging up the org chart) (and don't tell me it sounds like I have stuff "in my head" when you refuse to let me send you the document I'm reading from)
