THose of you that want to GOTV, please go with that feeling...people will be thrilled to see you, I swear. And you can have enough candy or donuts(depending on the hour, naturally) to choke Rafalca, if that's what you like. Or you can see democracy from your house with the Obama, or Move-on calling tools...AFL-CIO has one too, but as I recall, it's more automated and I'm too slow for it. Damn micro-targeting. I admit that I like phone banks more than the average person.

Every Facebook political argument you've ever seen

Oh that's hilarious. And vindicates my continued refusal to join Facebook.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

This would be hilarious if it weren't also so incredibly depressing, that someone with such an abysmal knowledge of American history (and basic world geography) could be the next President.

What's fucked up is that I thought GWB was bad. And he was. But how is it possible MR is/could be worse?

Does MR want to be President because he wants to be wealthier? Does he just want to win because he is competitive? I can think of no other reasons. He doesn't seem to really have a moral center (besides his family), he doesn't seem to want to be educated about the various things Presidents should know.

He lacks intellectual curiosity in a way that only Palin rivals.

Yeah...well, it's true enough anyway. I sort of wish I never had...the relationships I thought I have are not the relationships I actually have. Although it was fun to smack that guy about the auto industry, though.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I believe that Romney wants to be President for the same reasons that GWB wanted to be President: Daddy issues.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Does he just want to win because he is competitive?

More that, I think. I read or heard someone recently saying that he's most interested in success, which seems about right. He ended up so rich because he wanted to be the most successful businessman. He's running for president because he wants to be the most successful politician.

And I think his actual moral center is his religion, which he's not allowed to talk about on the campaign.

And my continued refusal to log in. I've not been on FB in six months or more.

Does MR want to be President because he wants to be wealthier? Does he just want to win because he is competitive? I can think of no other reasons.

Because it's the most powerful position in the world, and because Dad failed to become president. He's got to beat out his dad, and show the world that Romneys Are Awesome.

I'm guessing.

What kills me is that he appears to have no conviction at all. Charlie Pierce's column points out how thoroughly Romney has thrown his advisors under the bus. Which is funny, except that it means we have no idea what he'll do when he's in office. If nothing that he says sticks, how can we predict his behavior?

If I were Republican, I'd be more worried about Romney being a closet liberal than about Obama being a closet Muslim.

Great minds, Tom.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Does MR want to be President because he wants to be wealthier? Does he just want to win because he is competitive? I can think of no other reasons.

I think he wants to win simply because he feels he deserves it and not because he has any substantial ideas on what he wants to accomplish as president, which is very scary to me.

Argh. So, last week I forgot my laptop power cord. I was only here for one day so i managed. But I thought "that was stupid, make sure you oak it this week!" and I have a distinct memory of picking it up in my office and bringing it over to where I was packing....and I suspect it's still sitting there, because it's not in my bag. And this week I'm here three days. So I just had to run to RadioShack and spend $75 on a cord. Jesus.
