For those of you who have had chemo, or with someone who did, what should I stick in a care package for a friend who is having chemo? I was thinking trashy magazines, a very soft blanket, and some ginger chews or tea. Thoughts?

All your and Cass's ideas sound good, plus maybe a pair of fuzzy socks to wear during treatments. If has a kindle or ipad or whatever, maybe a gift certificate to download some apps or books?

We have department heads here from the home European office, so everyone is a bit on edge. I tend to be really good at this aspect of my job: hosting, introducing, etc. so I don't mind at all.
