Lorne: Take care of yourself and ah, make sure fluffy is getting enough love. Gunn: Did he have anything? Fred: No. And who's fluffy? Are you fluffy? Gunn: He called me fluffy? Fred: He said make sure…wait. You don't think he was referring to anything of mine that's fluffy, do you? Because that would just be inappropriate.

I've probably mentioned this before, ita !, but can your neurologist send your prescription to an oncology infusion center? I know there are people in the one I go to who don't have cancer, but are having something like bisposphonate or iron infusions. Also, they're very familiar with pain medication, and they just follow the prescription, instead of sitting around discussing whether someone should get Adriamycin. You'd have to go during the week, but the crap you're going through is keeping you from work anyway.

I hope the social worker can make things work properly, ita. What a screwed up situation.

Trust my rage

Stephanie, if the rash is only on his butt and he has a fever and a runny nose, I don't think it's chicken pox. I would take him in to the doctor.

Yeah, I'm taking him tomorrow regardless. I just...want to know, but it doesn't change anything. He does have some small spots on his chest but they aren't pox at the moment.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Stephanie, that's not fun for you or Sammy.

And ita, I am filled with rage on you behalf. I wish we could find a way to channel all this buffista rage productively towards some solution.

Because books.

I just...want to know, but it doesn't change anything.

If it's chicken pox, all you can do is treat the symptoms and make him as comfortable as possible anyway, but this way you'll know tomorrow if it's something else.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, ita !, I just can't fathom it. WTF is wrong with these people.

And yeah, you need an advocate, damnit.

Me, I've been baking like a fiend: a two-layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, three loaves of pumpkin bread, and four holiday fruitcakes in the last 48 hours. In 3 minutes I need to go to the BBQ place and pick up enough ribs and chicken for 10 people, as well.

Oh, wait, and find a gift bag for my sister's present, fah.

Cross your fingers that my mother agrees to take her new meds today. Her new thing is second-guessing the psychiatrist's prescription, I suspect because he's Indian-born although I'm not sure (and won't ask). ::tears hair::

I need people to talk more!

Sammy won't really let me do anything so I'm aimlessly killing time in the Internet. But I can't really watch or read anything in depth.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

but can your neurologist send your prescription to an oncology infusion center

creative suggestion. I hope this (or something like it) can work for you.

supposedly when I was little I had chicken pox and it only showed up on my stomach and my scalp. mom has always worried that I didn't have enough exposure and that I would get it as an adult. I was around kids who got chicken pox in 6th grade and high school and nada.

so unless I am the most careful person in the world, the light reaction might mean you actually have chicken pox.
