I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

And Liese, I'm sure you know, but 501(c)(3) can have political views, just not endorse candidates or lobby on specific bills, generally.

Yeah, I know. I was unclear. I was saying, I, personally, don't even tread on things that are legal, much less things that are not. I like my tax exempt status!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have no business deciding that [person A] should vote for a candidate because they are a member of [demographic group, often minority]. But I admit I am genuinely shocked at gay people who are voting for Romney. Or people of any color other than paper white. Or women.

Yeah, I know I said I have no business deciding that, and I did it anyway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh. Yes.

The woman she was talking to, born here, but from a Mexican immigrant family, said she was voting for Romney because "he is for Israel and the Bible says God tells us to support Israel."

Oh, sure -- Four years ago, my very socially liberal Modern Othodox Jewish coworker was seriously considering McCain because of Israel.

I mean, I can sort of understand single-issue voting, but am still slightly mind-boggled when your single issue is abroad.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Technically my single issue is abroad: warfare, but it's being carried out by my students in poverty, so it's a personal domestic issue as well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Totally.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In ridiculous news, ads that say Nashville is "Wednesday's #1 new drama" actually aren't all that compelling. How many more new dramas could there be on Wednesday??

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does new-to-Wednesday count? Because you better beware of the Supernatural juggernaut!

And I swear I was reminded of either Tuesday or Thursday's #1 new show too.

I have decided that my instructions to people who cut my hair will be: "As long as I'm not bald, it's okay."

What? Muffin checking time already? But I just sat down!

OK, in that case, I'm super impressed.
