Did I mention the part where we're not deploying this weekend?
Well, we're not. I get a Sunday night to myselfthe ER, so that's...whatever, but sheeIT.
One of the vendors came to me and said it would have been better if I'd shown her a project plan. Really? The email saying I need X,Y,Z with diagrams and then the meeting, and the mutually agreed upon due date is not enough for you to know
when
something needs to be done by? If she gets all "Oh, and another thing!" in the lessons learnt meeting, I will go off on her and her engineer who makes rely #30 in an email chain saying "I thought this was due Monday?" when the email #1 says "This is due Friday." They didn't actually finish delivery until Thursday, if you don't count the installations today and Monday. And why would you? I didn't show her my project plan.
I've been working to a team-level and a person-level project plan the whole time. She can fucking write down her 3 due dates and not whine about a lack of dates handed to her in the preferred formats, or too many different email subject lines (god forbid I should want to email her on a different subject). I might lose a work pal here, but SERIOUSLY.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Burrell and Calli!
Seriously, seriously.
Okay, I did take a nap. I don't know if it helped, though. I think I'm the kind of tired you can't sleep off.
I seem to have a sinus infection. Stabbing pain in my left under eye sinus and green snot. Why does the doctor's office want to see me...please just write a scrip and get me out of pain.
With my paycheck to day, I have officially paid off one of my creditors. I ended up with all the debt post-divorce. I have one credit card on a no-interest payment plan, a bank loan that just got paid off today, and my student loans. Gonna save up some money for the holidays and a new washer/dryer, then roll the freed up money onto my student loans. Woot!!!!
Yay, go Team Debt Payoff!
Happy birthday to Calli and Burrell!
Way to go, Suzi! That's awesome.
I'm babysitting tonight. In about 15 minutes, in fact. Given there are thunderstorms in the distance and the five year old is terrified of them, this could be a night with a child in my lap the whole time....
The last 4 years have been rough, money wise. My liquid savings is pretty much gone, though my 401k has a good balance. I haven't used any credit in that time, just working on paying off the debts from our marriage.
I hate living paycheck to paycheck but I'm just glad I haven't been digging myself into more debt.

That is a hell of a lot more than many Americans ever figure out. Go you!!
