Why can Time Warner tell what (blocked) phone number I'm calling from and Verizon (my provider) can't? I'm assuming that since I'm calling them on the phone line they say they cut off, it's not urgent, but I am too scattered right now to even look that shit up, and apparently there's no one with my name in California with an account with them.
Great! I hope they stop billing me too.
Thing I Learned Today: there is a website that tells you why flags are at half-staff (both national and states). (My office is in front of a new FBI building, and from time to time we have the conversation of "The flag is at half-staff. Does anyone know why? What does the FBI know???") [link]
I was wondering why the flags in Highland Park were at half-staff today, but it wasn't in that website. Must be a local person who died.

How handy! Flags were half-staff in Utah a few days ago, and I didn't know why.
edit: I'm impressed with the states that lower their flags for their servicepeople.
A bulb blew a million years ago in my bathroom (the spot that points at the shower to boot), and I couldn't work out how to change it.
In the end, maintenance ended up taking out the whole track and replacing all three spots and the rail.
And, yes, it is valid to ask who puts spot tracklighting in the bathroom of a completely mundane apartment, and...the answer is "those people".
At least I feel better about failing the task myself.

Seriously, lady--call Billy Joe Bob. I am not in this loop even remotely. It's weird what people will press you on. I have never met her, never spoken to her, never been explicitly cced with her. Also? Not on the Data Team.
WTF -- I just felt another earthquake here! I am starting to wonder about the east coast. That's two in one year/ever. Edit: Not quite one year -- the other one was August 2011.
