Oh, and that reminds me, I never did testify to the awesomeness of Kat's niece, but she is, indeed, quite awesome! She's at college near me, and I am the friend of the family she can call if things get squirelly, but she hasn't needed help in a long time, because, awesome. I really love being the friend of the family person, though, because I had that person when I was in college, and it was so great. When I had a trauma, she got us out of there and put us up in her condo for a weekend, and it was just great to have someone nearby I knew I could go to.

She does an awful lot of vocalizing. I understand her the best and it's like dealing with a kid who is learning to speak, but with a better vocabulary. We were walking through our little town today (from the bookstore to the coffee shop) and the decorations on the trees lit up. She said, "Orange lights! Pumpkins!" She loves communicating.
She can also sing some of the imperial march. It's pretty quiet, but totally adorable.
yeah they do something TB vaccine-like in Ethiopia too. mac tests almost positive. He will probably have to get a chest x-ray this next time.
Oh, wait, is that True Orange orange flavored fizzy water? Did you get the True Orange and True Lime and are they as awesome as the True Lemon? I need to know! I saw a lemonade version, but thought I wouldn't like it, because I don't need any sweet in my water, just acid.

I really love that you get to be a friend of a the family! I think her first year, she really needed that and now she has found her groove.
I need to send Des a something. I sent her sister Danielle granola but Desiree is trying to lose weight. Maybe just an amazon gift card?
Other things Grace can do now. Go up steps without holding a hand or the railing. Drinking through a straw (she loves the lime refreshers from Starbucks). Writing her name.
