You guys! I survived this week!
Okay, so I still to neaten my house and eat dinner and pack and watch Community and then try to sleep a little before I have to get up at 4:00 to fly to Dallas and then get trained all weekend. The important part is I am no longer at work, and that part of the week is over.
WHEEEEEEE
We've got a nice little Buffista cohort spanning from Average White Baby to Sammy to Rose through Daisy's baby.
I'm trying to remember if there are any Buffista babies in 1st grade with Ellie? Iirc, ttbitw was the first official Buffista baby?
watching the NFL draft on the computer, but I missed the musical numbers. I hope there was dancing. I hate the Eagles. had to be said.
I knew Dallas wouldn't be taking a QB, but I was dreaming. A good CB is nice, I love a good CB, but I really want Romo gone.
Oh, my god, more rapping.
I must be missing it during the NFL.com commentary. or commercials.
I hate the Eagles.
Me, too. And I hate that the fans here still love Michael Vick.
Go, Jets!
Oh, bad work news.
One of my best-liked colleagues: i.e., she's both nice and competent, and manages to stay out of the uglier office politics, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
FUCK CANCER.
She's getting her second round of chemo tomorrow. So, I am wondering: what can we her coworkers do to help? Beyond sending flowers, which she has already complained about (they smell like death, she says).
Suggestions would be gratefully received.
Oh, Consuela, I'm sorry. That's hard.
Is there anything you can do to help if she has family? Meals? Running errands? For her, maybe a *bouquet* of magazines or crossword puzzle/soduku books?
So, I am wondering: what can we her coworkers do to help?
There's a website where people can create schedules of things like who is making/taking a meal, etc. I can't remember the name, but I do remember Cashmere talking about it when her new wee nephew was born.
Something like that?
