One of my student tells me that her friends who are voting for Romney are convinced that he won't actually make any moves to limit access to abortion.
Well, this was a promise he made to get elected as governor to Massachusetts, and he kept his word. I mean, now he's promising everything to everyone, so I don't know how my point applies, but there it is.
Paul Ryan is giving me flashbacks to what I hated about my college.
Reading about both Ryan's and Romney's college days made me realize they were both what I loathed in college: young Republican frat boys.
God I fucking love Joe Biden like Joe Biden loves trains.
Thank you Joe for remembering to make a few good points. I was annoyed at first because he was too timid for my liking, but he heard my thoughts and came through. Still think he got less time. Thought the point on Ryan seeking stimulus funds was priceless.
My nephew is in Mother Jones: [link] He looks like a badass.
That's awesome, Kat! I didn't know your nephew was a Coastie. And he's on the Healy, which is awesome.
And did you know the Healy is named after the first black American to captain a US military vessel?
In political news, the only way I'm going to stay sane through the first week of November is by reading Charlie Pierce every day.
On foreign policy, Ryan occasionally rose, gasping, to the level of obvious neophyte.
Heh.

One last post before I go to bed: Baby walruses playing in a kiddie pool.

Oh, goodness, how much have I skipped.
I was supposed to skip a bit more, tomorrow, but due to shabbat and all, I won't have any computer access then, and I want to post already that, according to the Buffista Calendar, Saturday, the 13th, will be a double Buffista event, with two birthdays: Matt the Bruins fan's as well as Cashmere's.
So lots of early wishes to the both of them!
Oh, and short Fridays and lovely weekends to all!
