There's a bunch of people who don't believe Romney is extreme. I bet there is a nice overlap with this group and those who believed GWB would govern as a moderate as well.

Yeah, but why risk even saying it? Can he truly get both the conservatives and the moderates at the same time, because people are that willing to believe? Are people that stupid?
Because even as recently as 3 elections ago, the ability to tailor your position to your audience wasn't something that would get you caught or even dinged. But the media landscape is different now and it's bitten in him in the ass at least twice. He's campaigning like it's 1999 and not like it's a world of instant news recording by the masses.

Actually I'm charmed that this Hawaii boy works for the Coast Guard in the Arctic Circle.
Ugh, this debate. Paul Ryan is giving me flashbacks to what I hated about my college. He is a smarmy, scary motherfucker.
But he has a bigger flag pin, so he's clearly the winner.
Joe needs to laugh less and talk more. The word count is way uneven.

That Jesse? Badass!
I'm watching the debate, like an ass, but I'm going to turn it off soon.
I'm hoping the power of Biden's gleaming white teeth will defeat that frat boy from hell.
I'm just asking this casually, Kat, but how...how do I phrase this...how legal is your nephew? And how do you feel about being related to me?
Fun picture and project!
I DROVE home tonight. Wonders! But I have to say, except for the added 15ish minutes each way, I liked the walking. Might do it from time to time when the weather and schedule allow for it, though since it is approaching winter light, that won't be much longer. When I was in Spain and waking up at ridiculous hours, I really treasured my long walks in the transition from pre-dawn to the world waking up. And really, my walk to work is so interesting! I go from rowhouses to frame victorians on large green lots to gritty urban-so-Baltimore of Greenmount, with the friendly druggies coming down, the vets who spend their day on the wall giving each other shit and passing compliments and encouragement to the passers-by outside the 7-11, mixed with parents walking kids to school, the hustlers, the streetcorner preachers... To the grand painted-lady rowhouses of Abell, to patients discharging and waiting for the bus or taxi looking worse for wear, to hospital staff hurrying into Union Memorial and then whiplash to the deliberately bedheaded and expensively tattered JHU students in the latest trends, looking impossibly young-trying-to-appear-world-wise and SLEEPY, to the leafy campus and then my office.
If only I didn't hate waking up so much.
I think Biden is tearing Ryan a new asshole.
