Maybe it's time we moved on to a cat conversation.
The other night, some friends mentioned their new cat, named Hammer. They named it that to go with the name of their first cat, Blade.
I asked Tim why our cats are Toke and Slinky, when they CLEARLY should be Toke and Bong.
And the dog can be Doobie.
I don't really liked themed naming of pets or children.
It's like you bought them in a set at Target.
Where's the refraining?
That was mental crap, man. MENTAL.
On the name front, I think there are themes and then there is matchy-matchy. Themes are fine! Especially for pets.
I don't mind so much having to flush after a previous stall user so long as they managed to successfully target the bowl in the first place.
This.
OK, moving on, but I've been wanting to vent on that particular issue for a long time. I swear we must be employing monkeys and chimps at this company somewhere.
Can PBS survive without a government subsidy?
The Learning Channel is a good lesson here. It survived privatization to become a symbol of the depths of American "civilization." The Unlearned Channel. I'm sure that PBS could survive on child beauty pageants too, but it would be sad end.

I don't, either (I don't even like rhyming with my brother) -- EXCEPT pot-related names are COMEDY GOLD. Come on, Toke and Bong? You can't beat that.

PBS in San Francisco is a whole lot of Deepak Chopra and Lawrence Welk. If it weren't for Sesame Street they'd be useless.
I like couple-themed names--a friend had two dogs named Kate and Spencer, for example.

Wait, that isn't how you get a family? Damn, no wonder I'm single! :)
I am not wanting to work because my computer is having issues, so I have to send it in to be fixed. Of course, it won't be fixed and back to me until at least next Thursday. So meanwhile I have a loaner. Which first off, has windows 7 and office 2010 (my current one has older versions) so that's a total "wait how do I use this" and then I had to call the helpdesk to get them to make the loaner have access to my printer and my shared drive and all that...argh.
